FAQ
Frequently asked questions
  • Battery storage systems play a key role in climate protection by enabling the integration of fluctuating renewable energy sources into the power grid. They store surplus electricity from solar and wind power during periods of low demand and release it when energy demand is high. This reduces reliance on fossil fuel power plants and significantly lowers CO₂ emissions.

  • The size of a battery storage project depends on the available grid connection capacity and local conditions.

Most of our projects have a capacity of 10–20 MW and a storage capacity of 20–40 MWh. This corresponds to the energy requirements of around 25,000 to 50,000 households for two hours. Larger systems achieve 60–80 MW of power and 120–140 MWh of capacity.

  • The space requirements depend on the specific project. For a 20 MW system, approximately 1,200-1,500 m² are needed for the battery system itself. In addition, depending on the location, an extra 300-1,200 m² may be required for infrastructure such as balancing equipment, access roads, and safety clearances — in line with local and regional regulations.

  • You tell us the location of your land, and we will check its suitability free of charge. You will then receive a customized lease or purchase offer. We will take care of the planning, construction, operation, and dismantling at no cost or risk to you.

  • The development process typically takes 20-24 months from initial planning to commissioning.

  • Storage and lease agreements are valid for 30 years. At the end of this period, the storage facility will be dismantled and the site will either be restored to its original state or used for new projects. Dismantling is free of charge.

  • The risk of fire is practically nonexistent. Our systems meet the highest safety standards and are equipped with state-of-the-art fire protection and explosion prevention systems, as well as monitoring systems. We also collaborate closely with local fire departments and authorities to develop thorough fire safety plans. Qualified professionals regularly perform maintenance to ensure ongoing operational safety.
