FAQ
Frequently asked questions
  • Battery storage systems play a key role in climate protection by enabling the integration of fluctuating renewable energy sources into the power grid. They store surplus electricity from solar and wind power during periods of low demand and release it when energy demand is high. This reduces reliance on fossil fuel power plants and significantly lowers CO₂ emissions.

  • The space requirements depend on the specific project. For a 20 MW system, approximately 1,200-1,500 m² are needed for the battery system itself. In addition, depending on the location, an extra 300-1,200 m² may be required for infrastructure such as balancing equipment, access roads, and safety clearances — in line with local and regional regulations.

  • The development process typically takes 20-24 months from initial planning to commissioning.

  • Our battery storage systems are unobtrusive and designed to blend seamlessly into the surroundings. Through compensatory measures and the full integration of greenery around the site, the visual impact on the landscape is minimized.

  • Once the operating period ends, the battery system is dismantled, and all materials are recycled. Upon request, the site can be restored to its original condition or repurposed for new projects. To ensure this, financial reserves are set aside from the beginning.
